I have been on vu since 2018. I fell off before for the same reasons but came back.

IMVU has always been a special place for me especially when it came to the people I met and got close with. I've made friends for life here, built relationships that I don't ever 2nd guess and worked with so many creative and talented people which makes leaving hard.

After a while on IMVU, it got lonely. You have your friends, yes, and for most, modeling etc. There's alot that happens on here, as we know, and it takes tolls that we don't know it could take. As much as vu is a "safe place" for me, it's also my biggest problem. It has caused a huge depression more than twice (strike out), made me feel like there was something wrong with me. I'm not going to go into details but for "grown" ups that's just 1 part of it.
It's hard to explain what it is whilst trying to stay anonymous, in my experience vu just sucks your soul bro
